This is only meant to be an introduction. Your Circuit Bent Casio SK-1 comes to you with all the switches in the off position, which is either down or to the outside just like a light switch.
The switches on the right hand side are modulation and glitch switches. The knob on the front will adjust the volume of the drums.
The two switches on the front by the drum volume knob are for drum modulation when in chord mode but theyll also work with some of the tones.
The opto lens is operated by the switch directly above it. The brighter the ambient lighting the higher the pitch will go, keep a small lamp over this when in use. Wave your hand around over the opto-lens and voila, the sound will change like a theremin. The pitch control switch must on in order to use the photo-cell pitch control.
The switch directly above the opto-cell switch is the Pitch control on/off. When ON(UP) you can dramatically change the pitch of the keyboard using the knob on the left side. Always make sure the pitch oscillator switch is OFF/DOWN when you turn the keyboard on, it must boot up with the original crystal.
The chrome contacts are another way of changing pitch and adding glitch.
The LFO animator is turned on by the switch under the knob on top. The knob varys the rate of the LFO and the LED flashes in correspondence.
The joystick will affect the sounds as well, just move it around, the button works as well or plug in the removable patch bay and create your own new bends.
To sample a sound simply press and release the <sampling> key then immediately speak or make a sound into the onboard mic. You can also plug directly into the sk-1 and sample the line in, when you plug in it cancels the mic.
The little button on the left side is the reset switch, you simply press down on it momentarily to reset.
All the original functions are still intact as well, giving your sk-1 amazing, endless possibillities.
Let me know if you have any questions not covered herein. Casio online has an archive, you can get a copy of the original manual by contacting them or downloading online.
Thanks again for your purchase and support.
